Some spiders are able to see more colors in the spectrum than humans. They have four sets of eyes that pick up on different aspects of their surroundings. The “principle eyes,” which move around, pick up color and resolution. The three pairs of “secondary eyes”, which stay stationary, pick up peripheral signals and detect motion. They also have an entire channel that senses UV light, which is entirely lacking in humans.
